Operation
Before first Use
Remove the unit from the packaging and check it for
damage in transit.
Keep packaging materials out of reach of small children.
There is risk of suffocation!
Inserting/replacing the Batteries
1. Remove the battery compartment cover on the under-
side of the solar panel at the rear of the alarm clock.
2. Insert two new 1.5 V alkaline batteries of the type LR03
(AAA) into the battery compartment. Pay attention to the
proper polarity of the batteries. For confirmation, all
available icons appear for several seconds on the dis-
play and you will hear a signal sound.
3. Close the battery compartment.
Replace the batteries if the display gets weaker.
Introduction

Set the unit up in such a way that the solar panel is
exposed to light.

This radio controlled alarm clock automatically receives
the time signal broadcast by the official European
standard long wave frequency of 77.5 kHz. The time
signal transmitter of the National Physical Laboratory
Braunschweig is located in Mainflingen near Frank-
furt/Main (Germany). The high-precision radio signal
can be received within a distance of 1500 km around
Mainflingen (deviation of 1 sec. in 1 million years).
