Piping and components connected to the Water Heater for the space heating application
shall be suitable for use with potable water.
Water heaters for combination water/space heating cannot be used in space heating appli-
cations only.
The installation connection points for the space heating circuit and, if applicable, specify
any electrical connection points provided for the heating circuit.
The effect that toxic chemicals, such as used for boiler treatment, shall not be introduced
into the potable water used for space heating.
The effect that a water heater which will be used to supply potable wter shall not be
connected to any heating system or component(s) previously used with a nonpotable
water heating appliance.
When the system requires water for space heating at temperatures higher than required
for other uses, a means such as a mixing valve shall be installed to temper the water for
those uses in order to reduce scald hazard potential.
Navien water heater is to be used for suitable for water (potable) heating and space heating
