SECTION 1.4: COOLING REQUIREMENTS
This section provides information about heating and cooling requirements for the VX series transmitter
site. Topics in this section include:

Air Flow in the Transmitter
See Figure 1.4.1 . The VX transmitter draws cool (intake) air through air filters in the front of the
transmitter. The incoming air circulates under the PA’s through the power supply section (on the right)
and is exhausted by grills in the chassis, located on the sides and rear of the transmitter. An air
exchange rate of 80 CFM achieves acceptable intake/exhaust temperature rise.
