CAUTION: To prevent product damage, and to prevent the product from tip-over, the planter base
must be placed on a flat level surface. Fill with a minimum of 40 lbs of gravel or stone.
INSTALLATION
ALTERNATE GROUND MOUNTING
Thread hex nut (O) onto the J-bolt (R). Make sure the Hex nut is threaded down the j-bolt far
enough for the top the j-bolt to fit through the mounting plate (S) and the lamp post base (D) with
enough threads to secure the base to the j-bolts with acorn nuts (P). Repeat the step for other j-
bolts.
Using the mounting plate (S) as a guide, insert the J-bolts with hex nuts into a wet concrete pad until
the hex nuts are below pad level.
Place the mounting plate (S) onto the j-bolts forming a mounting bracket.
Align the lamp post base (D) holes with the j-bolts and secure with the acorn nuts (P). Allow the
concrete to dry and set prior to installing the lamp post. (Figure 6)

REPLACING THE BATTERIES
NOTE: The battery in your solar lamp post come
preinstalled form the factory.
1. Remove screws from the underside of the
solar housing. Solar panel housing is located on
the top of the lantern assembly. (SEE FIGURE
7)
2. Carefully lift the solar panel off the housing.
Circuit wires are attached to the solar panel, be
careful not to disconnect the wires. Battery
compartment is located under the solar panel.
3. Remove the old battery.
4. Replace the old battery with one similar 18650
rechargeable type 3.7V Li-Ion battery. Reference
polarity direction inside battery compartment.
5. Replace the solar panel on the housing and
secure with screws retained from step 1.
6. The rechargeable battery needs to be fully
charged before operating light assembly. See
