GRINDING PROCEDURE
Reel must be ground at 25° in the direction
shown (Figure 19). Back grind until reel
blades are free from roundness, dents, and
nicks. Spin grind to remove all burrs. All
blades must be on the same diameter.
After grinding the bedknife and reels, backlap
to establish a perfect match between the
bedknife and reel blades.
For maximum cutting efficiency, grind
bedknife top and front edges at 5° (see
Figure 20).
