Connecting and Using
Accessories and Transducers
This chapter describes the use of SCXI terminal blocks and
connector-and-shell assemblies and explains how to connect three
commonly used transducers—thermocouples, strain gauges, and resistive
temperature detectors (RTDs)—to your SCXI system.
Connecting Signal Wires to the SCXI System
There are two methods for connecting signals to the SCXI system—using
SCXI terminal blocks and using TBX terminal blocks. Because the front
panel connectors of different SCXI modules have different pinouts, there
are specific terminal blocks and connector-and-shell assemblies you can
use with particular modules. You can use some terminal blocks with more
than one module, as shown in Table 4-1.
