CHARGING PROCEDURE

1. 

Turn emergency stop switch to the OFF position (see Figure A).  (For on-board charging only.)

2. 

Open and secure the rear hood (see Figure B).  Keep open for ventilation.  (For on-board charging only.)

3. 

Unplug the blue machine plug from the blue 48 volt plug on the power pack (see Figure C).  (For on-board charging only.)

4.  Power packs must be connected in order to charge (hooked in series, gray plugs on top of the packs).

5. 

Charger must have battery cable installed (provided).

6.  Connect the charger to the blue 48 volt plug on power pack (see Figure D).

7. 

Connect the charger to a 100 VAC 50 Hz/60 Hz power source.  The “AC POWER” LED will light indicating AC power is present.  The “DC 

POWER” LED will also light indicating the current draw of the power packs.  Connecting to a power source starts the charging automati

cally.  Charging time is approximately 4-8 hours to fully charge the power packs, depending on the level of discharge.  Charging is complete 

once the LED stays solid green.

8.  Disconnect the charger from the power source.
9.  Disconnect the charger from the power pack (see Figure D).
10. 

Reconnect the blue machine plug to the blue 48 volt plug on the power pack (see Figure C).  (For on-board charging only.)

11. 

Turn emergency stop switch to the ON position (see Figure A).  (For on-board charging only.)
