INSTALLING THE LUNG BAG
Insert the lung installation tool into the lung bag.
(See figure 4.)
Then insert the bag and tool together into the
manikin’s mouth while feeding it through the head down to the chest.
(See figure 5.)
Continuing feeding the tool
and the lung bag into the chest cavity until the tool stops against the inside of the chest cavity.
(See figure 6.)
Remove the lung tool. Make sure the airway lies directly beneath the airway cutoff ridge of the head. Fold the bar-
rier flaps of the lung bag over the face.

Manikin is shipped disassembled. Simply follow these easy steps to assemble your manikin.
ATTACHING THE COVER TO THE BASE
Place the chest on top of the base and lock it into
place at the three points indicated.
(See figure 1.)
ATTACHING THE HEAD TO THE BASE
Place the head over the neck area of the base
and insert the aluminum screw post through the
corresponding holes in the head and the base.
(See figure 2.)
Now insert the mounting screw into
the end of the aluminum screw post and tighten.

ADULT CPR SET UP
To set up you
Basic Buddy
®
for adult CPR simulation, simply roll the manikin on its side and insert the adult
compression block.
(See figure 8.)
Removing the adult compression block will change your manikin back to the
child compression resistance.
