5  If you are carrying out several different charge operations one

after the other, the charger may become hot This is normal

and is not a sign of a technical problem

6  Prevent liquid from getting inside the charger as it could cause

an electrical injury Do not place the battery in a hot environ‑

ment if you wish to facilitate the battery cool down process

7  Accumulator batteries can remain plugged into the charger

without a risk of damage to them or the charger itself The bat‑

teries will remain fully charged in the charger

DO NOT LEAVE

charged batteries in the charger if the charger is not plugged

into the power outlet

8

DO NOT USE ACCUMULATOR BATTERIES

 if they are damaged

or if liquid leaks out of the cells If the battery liquid comes

into contact with your skin, immediately flush the area with

water and monitor the skin’s reaction Seek medical attention

if needed If it comes into contact with your eyes, flush them

with lots of water and immediately seek medical attention

9  If you are charging a  fully discharged battery or if you stop

charging the battery before it is fully charged, you must count

each of these cycles as an entire charging cycle

Note on Lithium-ion (Li-Ion) batteries

•  These types of batteries do not have a memory effect, in other

words, the batteries can be charged at any state of discharge If

you take the batteries out of the charger prior to fully charging

them, it will not damage them

•  Each Li‑Ion battery is equipped with deep discharge protec‑

tion If the voltage falls (due to overloading or discharge) be‑

low the monitored range, the electronic circuit will disconnect

the cells The machine will then either work intermittently or

not at all You must reduce machine load or recharge the bat‑

tery

Storing lithium-ion batteries

•  Store fully charge batteries in a dry and dust‑free environment

at an ambient temperature between 5 °C and 40 °C If you are

not using the batteries for a longer period of time, we recom‑

mend you charge them fully once every three months

•  Keep the battery contacts clean Do not store the replacement

battery together with metal items as it may cause a short cir‑

cuit

•  It is always necessary to charge batteries that were not used for

a long time prior to use

Transporting lithium-ion batteries

As per legal regulation, lithium‑ion batteries fall into the hazard‑

ous load category These batteries must be transported while com‑

plying with local, national, as well as international guidelines and

regulations
•  Consumers may transport these batteries on public roads with‑

out a problem

•  Commercial transportation of lithium‑ion batteries by trans‑

portation companies must comply with the regulation on

hazardous load transportation Only trained personnel may

carry out the preparation and the actual transport The entire

process must have expert supervision

The following must be maintained during battery transpor-

tation:

•  Make sure that contacts are protected and isolated to prevent

a short circuit

•  Be careful so that a  large number of batteries do  not move

around or fall and collapse during transport

•  Damaged and leaking batteries cannot be transported

Please contact your carrier for additional information

Warning!!

It is not expected for the user to perform any service repairs on the

charger There are no spare parts inside the charger, which users

could repair on their own It is necessary to bring the charger to

your nearest authorised service centre to prevent damage to spare

parts, which are sensitive to static electricity, for example
Always use the right set of batteries (the set delivered with the

tools or a  replacement set recommended by Narex sro) Never

use any other sets of accumulator batteries because they could

damage your tools and cause a hazardous situation

Checking Accumulator Status

The machine is fitted with an accumulator status control panel (B3)
Press the control button (B4) on the accumulator status panel (B3)

An accumulator status indicator  (B5) will light up based on the

state of charge (capacity) of the accumulator

Maintenance and service

Instructions for cleaning the charger

Attention! Risk of electric shock. Prior to start handling

the charger, disconnect the line plug from the socket!

Impurities and dust can be removed from external charg‑

er surfaces by a rag or a non‑metal brush Use neither water nor

detergents

Attention! With respect to protection from el. shock

and preservation of the class of protection, all mainte-

nance and service operations requesting jig saw case

removal must be performed by the authorized service

centre only!

The current list of authorized service centres can be found at our

website

Storage

Packed appliance may be stored in dry, unheated storage place

with temperature not lower than ‑5 °C
Unpacked appliance should be stored only in dry storage place

with temperature not lower than +5 °C with exclusion of all sudden

temperature changes

Environmental protection

Power tools, accessories and packaging should be sorted for envi‑

ronmental‑friendly recy

Only for EU countries:

Do not dispose of power tools into household waste!
According to the European Directive 2002/96/EC on waste electri‑

cal and electronic equipment and its incorporation into national

law, power tools that are no longer suitable for must be separately

collected and sent for recovery in an environmental‑friendly man‑

ner

Warranty

Our equipment is under warranty for at least 12 months with re‑

gard to material or production faults in accordance with national

legislation In the EU countries, the warranty period for exclusively

private use is 24 months (an invoice or delivery note is required as

proof of purchase)
Damage resulting from, in particular, normal wear and tear, over‑

loading, improper handling, or caused by the user or other dam‑

age caused by not following the operating instructions, or any

fault acknowledged at the time of purchase, is not covered by the

warranty
Complaints will only be acknowledged if the equipment has not

been dismantled before being sent back to the suppliers or to an

authorised NAREX customer support workshop Store the operat‑

ing instructions, safety notes, spare parts list and proof of purchase

in a  safe place In addition, the manufacturer’s current warranty

conditions apply
