The SHOUT ts is capable of sending position reports in PMS. PMS complies with the 

Blue Force Tracking Data Format Specification as defined in the document PECOS 

Message Definition Specification, 200907-001 Version 1.7 [1]. The SHOUT ts is shipped 

without PMS features activated and can only be enabled by NAL Research at the request of 

an authorized user. When PMS is enabled, the 

Format

 menu has an additional option called 

PECOS, as shown in 

Figure 26

 below.

REVITY

 

With PMS enabled, you have the option to select any one of sixteen brevity codes 

(0000 through 1111) to be included in the PMS tracking reports. These codes are 

represented by A(z), B, C(z), and D, and can be selected via the touchscreen. Each code 

lights up as a green dot inside the 

Brevity

 icon when selected.

OMPOSE

 

With PMS enabled, the 

Compose

 menu does not allow you to enter an email address 

from the keyboard. The address must be chosen from the contact list.
