the middle by pressing the switch and release the lever. Place the chuck lever in the «close» position. Fill the carburettor by
pressing the bubble. Hold the handle on the side of the throttle lever, place the bar towards your body and pull the handle
until you feel resistance. Then pull hard on the handle a few times until the engine is running. Place the choke lever in the
«Open» position. Repeat until the engine starts. Once the engine is running, depress the throttle lever to release it from the
position and allow the engine to run at idle.
Caution! Do not use the choke when starting a hot engine. When the engine is idling, the nozzle should not turn.
Caution! If the plug is stuck, stop the engine immediately.
Engine shut-down
Put the throttle on idle and wait for the engine to cool. Switch off the engine by placing the On / Off switch (B) in the “stop”
position.
Carburettor
Before adjusting, clean the air filter and warm the engine.
The carburettor is set by the factory with a screw (open about 1 + 1/4 times +/- 1/8) and the screw H (open about 1 time +/-
1/8).
The idle screw is adjusted to ensure a good safety margin between idle and clutch.
The screw must be adjusted so that the engine responds immediately to abrupt gear changes and keeps good idle.
The screw must be adjusted so that the motor gives maximum power during operation.
Caution! Weather and altitude can affect the operation of the carburettor. Do not allow others to be near the machine when
adjusting the carburettor.
Maintenance - storage
Maintenance
Air filter - Every eight hours, remove the cover and filter. The filter should be flushed with gasoline and dried well before
re-installing.
Fuel filter - Check the fuel filter regularly. Change it if it is very dirty. A dirty filter can cause difficult startup and low perfor
-
mance.
Recoil starter - Use a brush or air to keep the ventilation notches on the starting unit clean. Lubricate the starting spring with
a little Vaseline oil at regular intervals.
Engine - Clean the cylinder notches with a brush or air regularly. Engine overheating can be caused by a non-clean cylinder.
Spark plug (Figure 2) - Clean the spark plug and check the gap at regular intervals.
Drill bits - Check the grit before each use. Pull your nose or change the arrow if needed.
Gearbox - Every 100 hours change the grease in the gearbox.
Storage
Follow all of the maintenance procedures listed above. Clean the machine and apply lubricant to the metal part. Remove and
grease the drill bit so that it does not rust. Empty the tank and install the plug again. Remove the spark plug and place a small
amount of oil on the cylinder. Replace the spark plug. Cover the machine and store it in a dry place away from children and
flammable materials.
Caution! Maintenance procedures not mentioned in these instructions should only be performed by authorized technical
personnel. Use only genuine spare parts.
