11.2.2 Client configuration for network printer
These instructions for network printer setup are based on a client PC with Microsoft Windows
7. However the settings are identical on all platforms.
Open the
Control Panel -> Devices
and
Printers
and click the Add a
printer
button.
Select
add
a local printer,
create a new Port
and select
Standard TCP/IP Port
from the list. Click
next.
Type the IP address of your NAS into the top field and click the next button. The network
printer port discovery will now start. This may take a while.
If you are asked for additional port information, check Custom and click
Settings...
The following data should be set:
Port Name: IP address of your NAS
Printer Name or IP Address: IP address of your NAS
Protocol: RAW
RAW Settings -> Port Number: 9100
Check these settings and click OK. Your PC will now try to recognize and install the
connected printer. If your printer was not recognized, Windows will ask you to select a printer
from the list or install the driver manually. Select your printer model and click
Next
.
Confirm the printer name and click
Next
. Your printer will now be installed. This may take a
while.
Disable printer sharing and click
Next
. Select whether or not you want to use this printer as
the default printer on this machine and click the
print a test page
button. If the test page is
printed properly, close the message window and click the
Finish
button.
Repeat these steps on all network clients that should have access to your printer.

This section shows you the current status of the network link and the CPU. All temperatures
are displayed in °C.
