As an example of using dial modifiers, suppose you want to disable call
waiting tones (we recommend doing this), dial a number using the
AT&T access code, wait 10 seconds for the switchboard to answer, and
then dial the extension. To do this, the phone number should look like:
*70W102881
area
_
code, number
, @@,
extension_number
To terminate a call, simply press the
END

sequence:
<Operation><Modem Control><Hang up>

ENTER
when prompted to ‘HANG UP NOW.’ Please
remember that the line is not dropped until you press
ENTER
.
To redial the last number, use the key sequence:

or you can press the
SDIAL
button (
FieldFone II

number dialed) and the

Dialing Using Telephone Set
In some applications it may be more convenient to use a telephone set
to dial. For example, when placing a credit card call, you dial the
phone number, wait an unspecified time for the ‘gong’ and then enter
the credit card number. Since the time you have to wait for the gong is
variable, it is difficult to use an automatic dialer.
