TURN DEVICE ON/OFF
Connect the clips to an external 12 Volt battery (not provided) respecting
the correct polarity (Red=Positive - Black=Negative). To turn on the 40/
TM player, press the ON/OFF button until the display lights up and it starts
to play. To turn off the player, press the ON/OFF button again. If a timer
program has been set, it must be disabled before turning off the device.
When the device is turned back on, the last song selected will play at the
previously set volume.
The 40/TM device is protected against polarity inversion. To avoid
damages and/or memory data loss, turn off the player as described
above, then disconnect the clips from the battery.
SELECT SONGS
The 40/TM device can play up to 8 songs. Use the arrow ( TRACK )
buttons to select the desired song to be played. The track number will be
shown in the left display. After 20 seconds of inactivity, the player will turn
off the display and enter energy-saving mode. Only one segment of the
right display will remain on to indicate that the device is functioning nor-
mally.
ADJUST SOUND VOLUME
The sound volume level that has been set will be indicated on the right di-
splay (Min 00 – Max 15). Use the increase/decrease volume -
+ buttons
to adjust the volume. Press the plus (+) button to increase the volume,
press the minus (-) button to decrease volume.

SET TIMER
The 40/TM player has a programmable timer that allows the device to be
turned on and off in a 24-hour period. Moreover, when the repeat “

PEAT” function is enabled, the program will be repeated at the same time
every day for as long as the player has power. See section
rP
- REPEAT
on page 9 for more details. When the timer is enabled, the center segment
of the left display will flash. Press any button to see the time remaining until
the next delayed start of the device. When the timer is enabled and a song
is playing, the center segment of the left display will glow and the segment
of the right display will alternate indicating that the device is functioning nor-
