OPERATION/SHUTDOWN
7. Observe the generator's ammeter (Figure 32) and
verify it reads the anticipated amount of current with
respect to the load. The ammeter will only display a
current reading if a load is in use.

Stopping the Engine (Normal Shutdown)
1. Place the 3-phase and 1-phase circuit breakers
(Figure 23) in the
OFF
position before starting.
2. Place the
Engine Speed Switch
(Figure 33) in the
LOW
position.

3. Let engine run at idle with no load for 3-5 minutes.
4. Place the starter switch key (Figure 34) in the
STOP
position and remove the key. Place fuel cock lever in
the OFF position.

5. Remove all load connections from the generator.
Emergency Shutdown
1. Place starter switch key in
STOP
position. Remove key.
Place fuel cock lever in the
OFF
position.
