PPLICATION
The
RX-5
is a radio receiver intended exclusively for use in radio-
controlled models. It is prohibited to use it in any vehicle
designed to carry persons, and for any industrial application.
The
RX-5
is designed to be as small and lightweight as possible,
and for technical reasons it is impossible for such a miniature unit
to offer the same reception performance as larger, more sophis-
ticated and more expensive receivers. For reasons of safety a
higher-performance receiver should always be used in any model
which has the space to accommodate it. However, micro-
receivers such as the
RX-5
can still provide an excellent perfor-
mance under normal reception conditions, provided that effective
suppression measures are taken (e.g. electric motor) and that the
receiver is installed in a favourable position in the model.

CONFORMITY DECLARATION
MULTIPLEX Modellsport GmbH & Co. KG declares that
these devices fulfil the requirements of the following
harmonised directives of the European Union (EU):
x
Protection requirements concerning electro-magnetic
compatibility EN301 489 1 und 3
x
Measures for the efficient use of the radio frequency
spectrum EN300 220
5. C
RYSTALS
Use only
genuine MULTIPLEX single-conversion receiver
crystals designed for the receiver’s frequency band. MULTIPLEX
single-conversion receiver crystals are fitted with a translucent
yellow plastic sleeve, and the channel number is printed on it.
The letter “E” indicates that it is a receiver crystal. The channel
number on the receiver and transmitter crystals must be identical.
Crystals are delicate components, and must be handled with
care!

CONNECTOR SYSTEM
The
RX-5
receiver is fitted with the universal UNI connector
system, which is compatible with the connectors used by most
radio control manufacturers (HiTEC, robbe / Futaba, Graupner /
JR, …).
Servos, speed controllers and similar can be connected to output
sockets 1 - 5. The power supply or receiver battery can be
connected to any of the sockets 1…5.
!
When connecting the receiver battery, servos, speed
controller etc., please note the correct orientation of the
plug. If using non-Multiplex items check that the contacts
are arranged in the same sequence (see contact symbols
on the receiver
