Aggressive Link Power Management
Aggressve Lnk Power Management (ALPM) s a power-savng technque that
helps the dsk save power by settng a SATA lnk to the dsk to a low-power
settng durng dle tme (that s when there s no I/O). ALPM automatcally sets
the SATA lnk back to an actve power state once I/O requests are queued to
that lnk. ALPM s only avalable on SATA controllers that use the Advanced
Host Controller Interface (AHCI).
