WARNING!

Remove batteries if device is stored for more than one year.

Never change batteries in hazardous areas. There is a danger of explosion since the batteries can cause
sparks when being changed! Danger of injury!

Check the polarity of the batteries when replacing. Incorrect polarity connection can lead to damage to the
device or impairment of the operability of the device.

Failure to follow these warnings can result in serious personal injury or death.

NOTICE

The maximum locking torque for the battery cover is 0.7 Nm. Do not overtighten, otherwise the inserts can be
pulled out!

The device shall only be operated with the following battery types:

Energizer L91 Ultimate Lithium

VARTA 6106 (Professional) Lithium

Open the battery compartment with a Torx T10 spanner.

(2)

Replace the batteries with new ones.

(3)

Refit the cover of the battery compartment. Whilst doing so, check the sealing for damage and dirt. If
the battery cover is damaged, please contact the MSA service. Maximum locking torque for battery
cover: 0.7 Nm. If the sealing is not damaged or soiled, the battery cover is not twisted or warped and
the screws are not overtightened, the device is water tight and ready to use.

After changing the batteries, the device will perform an electronic self test.

Connect to MSA A2 Software using the service mode to make sure time and date settings are up to date.

In any case, change the batteries if low battery alarm is indicated.

Start without Pressure

Long press of manual alarm button in standby activates the device in full alarm without pressure.

Service mode

Pressing manual alarm button for more then 10 seconds in standby activates the service mode.

Service mode can be used in combination with MSA A2 Software to change device settings and read out log
memory.
