CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1.
Set the temperature control knob to minimum and the steam output control slider to 0. Un-
plug the iron from the mains outlet and put it aside standing up. Wait for the iron to cool
down completely.
2.
Wipe off trace scale and other dirt from the soleplate with a damp cloth and a (liquid)
non-abrasive detergent.
CAUTION! Keep the iron away from metal objects to protect the sole from scratching. Never clean the iron sole
with abrasive pads (incl. hard sponges), vinegar or other chemicals.
3.
Wipe the iron top body with a damp cloth.
4.
Frequently flush the water tank with pure water and empty the tank before storage.
5.
Use the self-clean function of the iron once a month to remove scale:
a.
Fill the iron water tank.
b.
Plug the iron to a mains outlet.
c.
Select the maximum setting with temperature control knob.
d.
When the thermostat indicator lamp goes off, leave the iron to heat for 3 more minutes,
and unplug it from the mains outlet.
e.
Set the steam output control slider to maximum and hold the iron over a sink. Steam will
start to come out with scale deposits from the internal conduits.
f.
Set the temperature knob to minimum and wait for the iron to cool down completely.
STORAGE
1.
Set the steam output control slider to 0 and unplug the power cord.
2.
Empty the water tank.
3.
Wait until the iron cools down.
4.
Stow the empty iron standing up on a solid, firm surface.
