Wipe the base unit (1) with a damp cloth (do not clean the heater shield (3)) and then wipe
it dry.
CAUTION! Never immerse the base unit in water.

You may wet the heater shield (3) with a little of a kitchen detergent, wipe with a cloth damp
with clean water, and then dry.

Frequently remove the scale from all surfaces in contact with water when the appliance is
operated. Descale the appliance with citric acid descaling agents. Follow the instructions
for use from the descaling agent’s manufacturer. Do not allow the descaling agent enter the
base unit interior when descaling the heater shield (3).
CAUTION! Never heat any descaling agent with the appliance.
