Protection against restart

after power failure

If the power supply fails, the machine will be automa

tically switched off. To restart the machine, the green

button must be pressed again.

Motor Protection

The motor is equipped with a circuit breaker which

will switch off the motor when overloaded. The motor

can be restarted once it has been cooled down (after

approx. 5 minutes).
To restart the motor press:

1. The reset button (motor protection)

2. The green button

To remove blocked objects from the feed spout or

ejection opening, use the punner or hook, or open the

machine and clean it inside.

Before restarting the chipper, wait until the

machine stops.

Collecting Bin

The collecting bin is equipped with a locking device

with a safety motor shut-off function.
Before removing the collecting bin, always switch off

the machine.

The collecting bin is locked and firmly con

nected to the machine.

The collecting bin is unlocked and can be

removed from the machine. In this case, the

machine cannot be started.

If the lock is released during operation, the machine

will be automatically stopped.

Work with the Garden

Chipper

•  Assume the proper working posture from the side or

behind the machine.

•  Longer material protruding from the machine can be

thrown by the knives from the machine! Keep a safe

distance!

•  To push shorter material into the feed spout, use the

delivered punner.

•  Never reach into the filling or outlet openings.

•  Keep your face and body as far as possible from the

filling opening.

•  Never put your hands, body parts or clothing close to the

filling or outlet openings, or moving parts of the machine.

•  Before putting the machine into operation, make sure the

feed spout is free of residual chips and the collecting bin

is locked in the machine.

•  Never move the machine when it is running.

When filling the machine, make sure no metal objects,

stones, glass bottles or other nonworkable objects enter

the feed spout.

•  When using the chipper, it is necessary to take into

account the quality and humidity of the cut material and

sometimes draw it a little up to unload the machine.

•  Make sure the machine is complete and properly

assembled.

•  Before starting, set the chipper on level and firm ground

(to prevent it overturning).

•  Only use the machine outside. Keep it a minimum safe

distance of 2 meters from walls (outside) or other fixed

objects.

•  Before each use, check the following:

− The power supply cable for damage (cracks, cuts, etc.)

Never use a damaged cable.

− The machine for damage (see Safety at Work).

− All the screws for proper tightness.

Power Supply Connection

•  Compare the voltage on the type plate with the power

supply voltage and connect the machine to a socket

complying with the applicable regulations.

•  The machine can only be connected to a power supply

equipped with proper protection.

•  Use an extension cable with a sufficient crosssection.

•  During adverse conditions in the power supply network,

the machine can cause voltage fluctuation which can affect

other appliances (e.g., decreasing intensity of lights).
