Level III Service Manual Disassembly

Removing and Replacing the Volume, Voice, and Power Buttons

1.

Remove the battery cover, battery, antenna, rear escutcheon, rear housing, and
transceiver board as described in the procedures.

2.

Lift the volume buttons, the power button, and the voice button from the front
housing. The plastic tweezer may be useful when removing the buttons. See
Figure 20.

3.

To replace, insert the buttons into their respective front housing cavities,
ensuring each button is properly aligned and seated within the housing.

4.

Replace the transceiver board, rear housing, rear escutcheon, antenna, battery,
and battery cover as described in the procedures.
