Installing the Base Unit
NOTE:
It is highly recommended that you use a surge protector to protect your equipment
against possible lighting strikes or other electrical power surges.
1.
Turn your computer on and open Windows Live Messenger.
2.
Select a location for your base unit next to your computer.
3.
Gently squeeze the top and bottom of the base stand to remove it from the base unit.
The USB cable, power supply, and phone line ports are visible.
4.
Connect the USB cable to your computer.
5.
Connect the power and phone cords to the base unit. If desired, wrap the wires
around the spokes.
6.
Replace the base stand by aligning the slots on the base stand and base unit. There is
a click when the pieces are in place. The wires should fall from the opening in the
center of the base stand.
7.
Plug the phone cord into a wall jack and the power supply into an electrical outlet.
