Turn on your PC. Your PC automatically detects the SB4000 and the Add New

Hardware Wizard window opens.

Under some configurations, the Add New hardware Wizard may identify the new
hardware as a Motorola PCI Cable Modem SURFboard SB4000.

Place the SB4000 CD-ROM in your PCs CD-ROM drive. Allow time for the
CD-ROM to spin up.

If the Getting Started ....Menu is displayed, click Exit.

If your PC does not find the SB4000, repeat the Installation instructions being sure
the cable modem is properly installed.

Click Search for a suitable driver for my device (Recommended).

Click Next.

Select CD-ROM drive. Be sure the CD-ROM drives box is selected.

Click Next.
