Responder Alert Sensors
Responder alert sensors allow the radio to send an over-
the-air (OTA) notification when the radio receives the
following events:
• Holster sensor
• Weapon fired sensor
• Vest pierced sensor
To enable the feature, ensure that the GPS, Enhanced
Data, and Bluetooth feature of your radio is on and the
radio supports Bluetooth Low Energy (BT-LE).
You can disable the holster and weapon fired sensors
temporarily or permanently. This feature allows you to
prevent one or all events from being reported OTA.
This feature is enabled through Customer Programming
Software (CPS) configuration. Check with your dealer or
system administrator for more information on the
programming of this feature.
Holster Sensor
Holster sensor monitors the state of the holster and allows
the radio to send an over-the-air (OTA) notification
whenever a gun or a taser is pulled out of the holster or put
in the holster.
The sensor can cache events that happen when the sensor
is disconnected from the radio. When the sensor is
reconnected, the radio evaluates and send the important
events OTA to the system. Check with your dealer or
system administrator for more information about these
cached events.
