The Basics - 37

Note: You can still receive calls and make emergency calls when the Smartphone is 
locked.

To lock the Smartphone

1. Press the Power button to display the Quick List, select

Device lock

, and then press

the

OK

soft key.

2. Under

Lock phone after

, select a desired time period the Smartphone is inactive

before the Smartphone automatically locks.

3. Under

Password

, enter the password you want to use to access the Smartphone

when it is locked.

4. Under

Confirm password

, enter the password again, and press the

Done

soft key.

Note: After you have selected the time delay and created a password, you can then 
quickly lock your Smartphone from the Quick List, without having to view these settings.

To unlock your Smartphone

• Press the

Unlock

soft key, enter your password, and then press the

Unlock

soft key

again.

To turn off phone lock

• On the Home screen, press the

Disable Phone Lock

Locking the Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card

Locking the SIM card prevents you and others from using the Smartphone that contains
the SIM card until the correct password is entered.You can still make emergency calls
when the SIM card is locked.
