Using and Transferring Files
8.6.1 Setting Up a Cable Connection
Attach a Motorola Original™ USB cable to the phone and
external device as follows.
Note:
Check your computer or hand-held device to determine
the type of cable you need.
8.6.2 Setting Up a Wireless Connection
For maximum Bluetooth security, you should always pair
Bluetooth devices in a safe, private environment. Your phone
supports Bluetooth
®
wireless
pairing
(also called
linking
or
bonding
). You can pair your phone with a Bluetooth headset
or car kit, or pair your phone with a computer to exchange
and synchronise files.
Note:
The use of wireless devices and their accessories may
be prohibited or restricted in certain areas. Always obey the
laws and regulations on the use of these products.
Turning Bluetooth Power On or Off
If Bluetooth
Power
is
On
, your phone can automatically pair
with the handsfree device you have used before. Just turn on
the device or move it near the phone.
Once you connect your phone to a Bluetooth device, your
phone "recognizes" that device in the future. If a recognized
device starts a Bluetooth link with your phone, the Bluetooth
status icon appears at the top of your display.
Action
1
Plug the end of the
cable with the
Motorola logo into the
phone’s accessory
connector port. Make
sure that the logo and
the phone are both
facing you.
2
Plug the other end—the USB connection—into the
USB port on the device.
