Receiving and Reading
Messages

Note:

You must set up the text message inbox before

you can receive text messages. See “Setting Up the
Text Message Inbox” on page 66.

When you receive a new message, your phone displays

New Message

and gives an alert. Press

READ

(

) to

open the message (or your text message inbox if there are
multiple messages).

If reminders are turned on, your phone sends a reminder
every five minutes until you close the new message
notification, read the message, or turn off your phone.
(See “Alarm Reminders” on page 122.)

Note:

When your inbox is full, a flashing envelope icon

appears. New messages will not appear until you delete
some of the ones you have.

While reading a message, you can press

to view the

Text Msg Menu

that includes the following options:
