Cleaning Wash Heads
Occasionally one or more of the aspiration/dispense probes might be
clogged if the wash heads are not purged properly after use. When one
or more probes are clogged, you might see uneven dispense/aspirate
rates, or liquid dripping out of the probes.
To clean wash heads using the on-board programs
1.
On the
Main
tab, touch
Clean
to clean the wash head with the
AquaMax Sterilant.
The one-touch Clean program cleans and decontaminates
internal fluid paths. The system primes with the cleaning
solution, pauses for 5 minutes to allow the cleaning solution to
soak in the system, and follows with 3 rinse cycles using the rinse
solution. The system is purged at the end of this program.
The standard setup has the AquaMax Sterilant connected to the
red inlet and the rinse water connected to the green inlet.
If desired, you can change the parameters of the one-touch
Clean program. See
Note:
If the problem persists, clean the wash head in an
ultrasonic wash bath with either sterile water or a mild
detergent. If necessary, clean individual clogged dispense or
aspiration probes with cleaning wires.
