1 About This Product
System Overview The type code for the interface module shows its position
among the Moeller family of products:

The interface module DE4-COM-2X is used to connect a
drive controller to the serial interface of a PC for the purpose
of controlling the electric motor of the drive. The frequency
inverter can be configured and controlled with the Moeller
MS Windows-based operating software DE4-CFG-1. All of
the parameters of the drive controller can be configured.
One or more drive controllers can be controlled simultane-
ously, depending on the type of serial interface in the PC.

Requirements Hardware requirements
The DE4-COM-2X interface module has the following hard-
ware requirements:
• IBM-compatible PC with 386DX/25 processor or better
• at least 4 MB main memory (RAM)
• at least 10 MB hard disk storage space
• The monitor and graphic card should support VGA resolu-
tion (640 x 480) or better
