Restoring the xTablet to Factory Defaults
You can restore your xTablet Flex 8 to factory default state and reinstall the operating system, programs, and
settings that came with your tablet . Attention : When you restore the tablet, all your personal files and settings are
deleted. To avoid data loss, make a backup copy of all the data you want to keep before restoring the tablet.
To Reset the Tablet
1. Swipe in from the right to display the Windows Charms bar.
2. Tap Settings , tap Change PC settings , then tap General .
3. In the Remove everything and reinstall Windows section, tap Get started .
Scaling and Setting the High Resolution Screen
The 1920 x 1200 high resolution display on the xTablet Flex 8 is perfect for viewing image, video, or other apps.
However, the Windows user interface (icons, buttons, other user interface elements) may be too small to read and
operate at the default settings. By changing the display scaling or the display resolution setting of the device, you
can adjust the size of the text and other items on the desktop for optimal viewing. Display scaling is recommended
because it has the effect of adjusting user interface without having to move away from the optimal resolution
setting at 1920 x 1200. This will explain how to adjust the built-in windows display scaling and resolution settings.
To Change the Display Scaling Settings - recommended
1. Swipe in from the right to display the Windows Charms bar.
2. Tap Settings , tap Control Panel , tap Display , then tap Adjust resolution .
3. Tap Make text and other items larger or smaller .
4. Under Change the size of all items , check Let me choose one scaling level for all my displays .
5. Select Larger
– 150% (default)
, then tap Apply . Tap Sign out now if you are prompted to sign out for the
changes to take effect, then log back in to see the changed display scaling.
Alternatively, instead of changing the display scaling setting, you can change the overall resolution setting to make
screen elements bigger.
To Change the Screen Resolution Setting
1. Swipe in from the right to display the Windows Charms bar.
2. Tap Settings , tap Control Panel , tap Display , then tap Adjust resolution .
3. Tap the drag bar to the Larger side, then tap Apply .
4. Tap Sign out now if prompted to sign out to set the changes, then log back in to see the new display scaling.
Placing the xTablet in Sleep Mode
Use this method to save power and allow the xTablet Flex 8 to quickly resume when you want to start working again.
To Place the Unit in Sleep Mode

Swipe in from the right to display the Windows Charms bar, tap Settings , tap Power , then tap Sleep .
