6.9. Frequency Analysis
6.9.1.
Settings
In addition to the measurement of RMS and peak values the VM25 has a simple fre-
quency analysis function. To access this function, switch to the main menu by press-
ing F3 and select the menu option “Frequency analysis (Figure 31).
The peak value spectrum of the currently measured acceleration or velocity is shown
in Figure 32).
The vertical axis of the diagram represents the peak value with linear scaling and the
horizontal axis the frequency. The diagram shows 125 lines. The frequency range in
display can be halved by pressing F1 and doubled by pressing F2. The following
ranges are available: 23, 46, 91, 188, 366 and 732 Hz for velocity and additionally
for acceleration 1466, 2928, 5856 and 11712 Hz. The velocity ranges follow after
the accelerations by further pressing F2. Acceleration and velocity spectra can be
distinguished by the headline and a different color of the cursor line .
