Passcode Screen

To view a  V-C hip blocke d program  or to 

watch the program  during a sche dule d lock 
time, you must enter your 4 -digit passcode 

or change the  channel to an unlocke d pro-
gram.  O nce  you have ente re d the  passcode, 
the  V-C hip block or Lock by T ime will remain 
released until the  T V  is powered off and 
then on again.

V-Chip Lock Menu: Passcode

V-Chip

V-C hip allows you to Block or Allow pro-

grams based upon rating signals sent by the 
broadcasting station.  T he  T V  comes from  
the  factory with the  V-C hip in the  O ff setting.  

You can turn the V-C hip on within the V-C hip 

M enu or you can use the  V-C H IP  button 
on the rem ote  control to conveniently turn 
the  V-C hip on or off.  T he  factory preset is 

T V-P G  for T V  ratings or P G  for m ovie  ratings, 

allowing only programs rate d T V-P G /P G  or 
lower.  You can change  the blocking level 
to various T V  ratings and lette re d categories 
or m ovie  ratings.  Afte r changing channels 
or devices, the re  may be up to a 5 se cond 
delay before the  V-C hip lock takes effe ct.

your passcode  you will see the screen 

shown in  gur e 1.   Af ter  set ting a passcode,  
the  next time you sele ct V-C hip Lock from  
the  M AIN  menu, you will see “a new ” 
replace d by “your.”  U se the  number buttons 
on the remote  control to input a four-digit 
passcode, then press EN TER .  You can 
delete a numbe r and move back one  space 
by pressing C AN C EL.  You can exit without 
inputting a  passcode  by pressing M EN U  or 
H O M E.

S ele ct the times you would like  the V-C hip to 

be Active.  By setting the V-C hip S tart T ime 
and V-C hip S top T ime  to the same time, the 

V-C hip will be active 24  hours a day.

P ress   or    to slowly adjust the time.  
P ress and hold   or   to quickly adjust the  

time.
