How to use ACC

To  start  up  (place  in  standby

state) the system

With  the  ignition  switch  or  operation  mode
set  to  “ON”,  press  ACC  ON/OFF  switch
shortly to activate the ACC.

The display on the information screen of the
multi-information display will switch to show
information on the ACC.
When the ACC is activated, it is placed in the
standby state at which any control function is
not started.

NOTE

l

Even  if  the  ACC  is  in  the  activated  state
when  the  ignition  switch  is  turned  to  the
“LOCK”  position  or  the  operation  mode  is
set to OFF, the system does not automatical-
ly  become  activated  when  the  ignition
switch or operation mode is set to “ON” next
time.

To activate ACC control

With  the  ACC  turned  on  (in  the  standby
state),  push  down  the  “SET  -”  switch  while
driving.

When  your  desired  speed  is  reached,  release
the “SET -” switch; then this speed is set and
the ACC initiates the speed control to the set
speed.

The set speed is indicated on the information
screen of the multi-information display.
The  ACC  can  be  selected  between  approxi-
mately 30 to 180 km/h (20 to 110 mph).
You  can  set  and  initiate  the  speed  control
when driving at approximately 0 to 30 km/h
(0 to 20 mph) while a vehicle in front is be-
ing detected. In this case, the target speed is
set to 30 km/h (20 mph).
Setting  to  any  speed  outside  this  range  does
not cause the ACC to start the control.
