[9] How to use
It is a communication device enabling network communication for XC-G and PLK-G series.
By connecting using PLK-J-LAN, you can collect data of the sewing machine and so on.
XC-G (Initial setting)
1. Connect the wiring before turning on the power.

Connect the RS232C cable of PLK-J-LAN to the MINI-DIN connector on the front of the XC-G.

Connect the cable of the operation box (XC-G10 / XC-G500) to the CON B on the front of the
PLK-J-LAN.

Connect the network equipment to the CON E on the back of the PLK-J-LAN with a LAN cable.
2. Please prepare the LAN system data etc. in the USB flash drive. (Refer to [8] install and setting)
3. Please connect USB flash drive to CON D on the back of PLK-J-LAN.
4. Please turn on the power supply.
Setting of PLK-J-LAN is completed.
5. Set program mode - mode B [UPC = ON] in the operation box.
(Setting of sewing machine is necessary.)
6. Please make necessary settings such as PLC.
(Please refer to the instruction manual of other equipment you use.)
PLK-G (Initial setting)
1. Connect the wiring before turning on the power.

Connect the RS232C cable of PLK-J-LAN to the MINI - DIN connector on the PLK-G front panel.

Connect the network equipment to the CON E on the back of the PLK-J-LAN with a LAN cable.
2. Please prepare the LAN system data etc. in the USB flash drive. (Refer to [8] install and setting)
3. Please connect USB flash drive to CON D of PLK-J-LAN.
4. Please turn on the power supply.
Setting of PLK-J-LAN is completed.
5. If you set it to 5 V with CON S (jumper pin) of PLK-G3-CPU, please return it to 12 V.
6. Set PAL to program mode - other [CCEN = ON].

7. Please make necessary settings such as PLC.
(Please refer to the instruction manual of other equipment you use.)
(*1) PLK-G only supports system version S100W018 or later of the sewing machine main unit. After
confirming the version of the sewing machine main body, in case of sewing machines of S100W017
or earlier, install the latest system.
