(3) Connecting SDIO cables to the safety extension unit
SDIO cables are used to connect safety sensors (area sensors, light curtains, etc.) and status
indicator lights to the safety extension unit.
Eight SDI cables and two SDO cables are included with the Easy-setup kit. The SDI cables connect to
the SDI1 and SDI2 ports and the SDO cables connect to the SDO1 and SDO2 ports.
For information on connecting safety sensors and status indicator lights to the safety extension unit,
refer to the Instruction Manual of the respective device.
For SDI cable wiring examples, refer to Fig. 2-21 and Fig. 2-22 .
For SDO cable wiring examples, refer to Fig. 2-23 .
For information on safety I/O signal assignment, refer to the separate Instruction Manual
