Wipe troughs of the mounting plate with alcohol to provide
a clean surface for adhesive on rubber strips (13). Remove
protective paper and apply rubber strips (13) on mounting
plate (4) as shown in Fig. 5.

Install assembled mounting plates onto top support (16)
using 3/8” - 16x3 screws (17), 3/8” flat washers (18), 3/8” - 16
nuts (19), 3/8” lock washers (24) as shown in Fig. 7

Slide assembled top support over vertical tube Fig. 8.
Secure it on the tube with 1/2” - 13x3.5 screw, 1/2” washers,
and 1/2” - 13 nut as shown in Fig. 9. Torque nut until top
support is able to rotate with slight resistance.
9.
Lock top support in desired position with hitch pin and lock
pin Fig. 9.
6.
Insert rubber straps (15) into openings in mounting plate
Fig. 6. Pull them through until thicker portion of the strap will
stop against bottom of mounting plate.
It is a good idea to apply small amount of lubricant to straps
to make them slide easier. Wipe lubricant off the straps after
installation.
