Turning on and off

Note:

Thebatterymaynotbefullychargedwhenyouuseyourdeviceforthefirsttime.

Fortheinitialstart-up,pressandholdthepowerbuttonuntilthedeviceturnson.

Whenyouturnonyourdeviceforthefirsttime,followthepromptstocustomiseyour
device.

Note:

ThefirsttimeyouuseyourMio,itmaytakeseveralminutestoestablishaGPS

connection.WhenyouhaveaGPSfix,youcanstarttouseyourMiotoplanyourtrip.

WhilethedeviceisturnedON,pressthepowerbuttonanditwillenterasuspended
state.
Toresumeusingthedevice,dooneofthefollowing:

Pressthepowerbuttonfor2seconds.

Connectthedevicetoanexternalpowersource.

ToturnOFFthedevice,pressandholdthepowerbuttonuntilthedeviceshutsdown.

CAUTION:

WhenyourMioisturnedonandconnectedtoacomputer,itisrecognizedasan

externalmass-storagedevice.DoNOTdeleteanyfilesthatarepre-installedonyourMio.

DeletingthefilescancauseyourMiotocrash.

Resetting the device

Occasionally,youmayneedtoperformahardwareresetwhenyourMiostopsresponding;
orappearstobe“frozen”or“locked-up.”Insertasmallrod,suchasastraightened
paperclip(orthestylusthatisattachedtothebackofthedeviceholder),intothereset
buttonofyourdevice.
