4. Identifying parts

Battery compartment:
Insert 4 or 8 type LR6 (AA) batteries (not
included) as shown. When using 4 batteries, these can be inserted either
in the top or bottom half of the battery compartment. Other combina-
tions are not possible.
DC connection:
An external power supply can be applied via the
DC connection (input 6 V, at least 1.5 A. Mains adaptor is not included.)
5. Inserting the batteries
1. Open the protective cover of the battery compartment by pulling the
clamps at the top slightly inwards before lifting off the cover.
2. Insert 4 or 8 fully charged batteries; when using 4 batteries, these
can be inserted either in the top or bottom half of the battery
compartment. Other combinations are not possible.
3. Close the battery compartment again with the protective cover.
Note:
1. Please remove the batteries if low or out of power as this might
damage the camera due to electrolyte leakage.
2. The camera can be operated via an external power supply. A 6 V
power supply with at least 1.5 A is required.
3. Rechargeable batteries cannot be recharged in the camera using
an external power supply.
