Setting the sea level air pressure
Beforegoingtothenextstep,itisimperativetocheck
thefollowingsetting.Wheninthebarometermode
(BAR),presstheOn/Offbutton(10)once.Youwill
nowenterthesealevelairpressureadjustmentmode
andshouldsee„SETSLP1013”inthedisplay.Thisvalue
isthestandardairpressureinhPaatsealevel.Ifthisis
notthevalueinthedisplay,pushthenavigationbuttons
(3)upordownuntil1013isset.PushtheOn/Offbutton
againtoreturntothebarometermode.
Please note:
Itisveryimportantthatthisvalueisset
properly.Thealtimetercalibratesitselfinaccordance
withtheairpressureatsealevel.Incorrectdatawill
leadtofalsealtimeterreadings.
Setting the barometer measuring units
Inthedisplay,youcansee„BAR”andoneofthethree
barometermeasuringunitsinhPa,inHgormmHg.By
pushingthenavigationbuttons(3)upordown,youcan
choosethedesiredunit.Turningthemodedialtothe
rightwillbringyoutothebarometerhistory.IntheLCD
display,youwillseeabardiagramofthepresent(the
baratthefarright)andthelastfourreadingsfromright
toleft(fig.3).Usingthenavigationbuttons(3),you
canreadthetemperaturesrecordedduringthelast2,
4,6or8hours.PressingtheOn/Offbutton(10)once
willbringyoutothe„SETBARO“mode.Thiscanbeset
bypushingthenavigationbuttons(3)upordownand
thevaluesavedbypushingtheOn/Offbuttonagain.
Theexactvaluesforyourlocationcanusuallybefound
intheinternet.

Thebarometricpressuresettinginthe
„SETBARO“modemustbesetaccordingtothecur-
renthPareadingatyourlocation.
Altimeter (ALT)
Byturningthemodedialtotheright,youwillnowenter
thealtimetermode.Thisreadingindicatesthemeasured
altitudeabovesealevelandcanbedisplayedinmeters
(m)orfeet(ft)bypressingthenavigationbutton(3)
eitherupordown.Thescopeofaltitudeconsistsof0
to9.000metersor0to30.000feet.Thealtimeteris
