(ordernr.69727).Toattachtheadapter,firstremove
thetripodmountingthreadcap(7)andthenturnthe
mountingscrewontheadapterclockwiseuntiltight.

thetripodadapter.

Turning the compass on
ToturnthecompassinyourMINOXBN7x50DCon,
presstheOn/Offbutton(10).Whenlookingthrough
thebinoculars,youwillnowseearedLEDdisplay(CMP)
inthecenterofthefieldofview.Ifyoudonotmakeany
othersettingsoradjustments,thedisplaywillautomati-
callyturnitselfoffafterapproximatelyoneminute.In
thisway,yourviewremainsundisturbedandbattery
powercanbesaved.
Calibrating the digital compass
OneofthemainfeaturesofyourMINOXBN7x50DCis
thefullyintegrateddigitalcompass,whichasopposed
toanalogcompasses,canbecalibratedatanytime.
Thishastheadvantagethatnegativeinfluencescaused
bynearbymetalobjectsorelectrostaticallycharged
fieldscaneasilybecompensatedfor.Beforeusingthe
compassforthefirsttime,itmustbecalibratedinorder
toguaranteeprecisereadings.
Incontrasttoanalogcompasses,thedigitalcompassin
yourMINOXBN7x50DCcanbemanuallycalibratedat
anytime.Wesuggestcalibratinginregularintervalsto
ensureexactreadingsatalltimes,especiallyifyouhave
usedthebinocularsnearmetalobjectsorelectrostati-
callychargedfields.
