When you attempt to connect a unit with
damaged firmware that supports
the recovery option an alert (See
Fig
3.8.9 )
will appear. Click ‘Yes’ to restart the firmware
upgrade and repeat the attempt to install the firmware, or ‘No’ to cancel.

For RCDAT-6G-120 units, after clicking on the
“Update Firmware”
button an alert will appear (see
Fig 3.8.10
). Click ‘
Yes’
to have the main GUI program shut
down and a special Firmware upgrade application start, or ‘
No’
to return to the main GUI
program.
3.8.11
After the Firmware Upgrade application starts
click connect, the
unit’s firmware will shut down and the Application will list the Firmware boot loader revision.
Click on “Load Hex File” button – a browse window will open. Navigate to where you saved the
upgrade file and double click on it, then click on “Upgrade Firmware”.
