3.3.10. Automatic
drain
Reminder: This drain re-injects the oil from the separating
cartridges into the pump. It is located in the separating
cartridge compartment (see view in separating cartridge
section - item
(8)
).
Operating check: Stop the pump. Remove the plate giving
access to the compartment of the separating cartridges. Add a
1/4 litre of oil to the drain: the float should rise. Start up the
pump: the additional 1/4 litre of oil should be sucked in, the
level in the separating cartridge compartment drops.
Maintenance: Remove screws

and take the drain assembly out. Drive out the pin

then change the float

and the
seal
[4]
; clean the nozzle
[5]
(blowing). Reinstall the assembly by changing the o’ring
[6].
3.3.11. Replacing
vanes
Remove the cover. Remove the cooling system, then remove the back
plate. Replace the vanes one by one, taking care to position the vane
chamfer correctly.
3.3.12. Oil level sensor (optional)
It is possible to install a float that
triggers an alarm if the oil level drops. It
is mounted on the plate that the oil level
sight glass and drainage valve.
When installing the float,
take care to seal the
threading properly.
Practical tip: it is recommended to
apply a timeout of at least 30 seconds
on the alarm signal to avoid having untimely activation (swashing of the oil).
3.3.13. ELECTRIC
MOTOR
For its maintenance, contact an electric motor specialist.
3.4. Disposal
Before any dismantling operation, make sure that the pump does not present any risk generated by the substances
pumped. See safety sheet on SECTION 6
The pump must be dismantled. The materials must be sorted, collected, recovered according to current regulations.
The main wastes to be recovered are:

Oil
The collection and recovery must be done by service providers authorised in accordance with the current regulations.
