3.2.1.2. PROPPING WITH TOWERS

This propping model services most of the periphery beams, since they do not fit in the propping 

with crossheads or T supports, as already mentioned.

However, the propping with towers does not restrict the use of struts for breaking the main beams 
spans.

All propping of the outer beams with 
towers positioned with eccentricity (partial 
or total) should be guyed. This guying 

should be done in order to prevent the 

movement of the secondary beamwork.

ropes, please consult the Steel Wire Ropes 
internal maintenance manual.
