Disassembly Of Generator

Do not damage stator or rotor wind-
ings during this procedure.
Disassembly
With engine properly supported with blocks,
remove hardware securing stator to engine.
Remove generator parts as needed:

Rotor

Ball Bearing
10 Retaining Ring
11 Integrated Rectifier SR2

13 Brush Holder Retaining Bar
14 Brush Holder Cap
15 Brush
16 Brush Holder
Reassembly
Reinstall engine and generator parts as
needed (see torque table).
Reconnect fuel line, choke cable, and base
ground cable. Reinstall spark plugs, battery
and tray, panels, and cover.
Use cable ties to secure leads in existing
wiring harnesses and away from moving or
hot parts.
Reconnect negative (–) battery cable.
