The machine should be connected to a
mains water supply in accordance with
standard regulations.
Connection to the mains water supply
should incorporate a mains stopcock
with
3
/

’’ thread. The stopcock should
be fitted by a qualified plumber.
The approx. 1.5 m long
3
/
8
" pressure
hose should be connected to the stop-
cock via the
3
/
4
" threaded union.
This pressure hose is
not
suitable for
connection to a hot water supply.
Please make sure the washer sits cor-
rectly in the union.
The connection point is subject to
mains water pressure. Turn on the stop-
cock slowly and check for leaks.
If replacing the inlet hose only use
genuine Miele hoses. These are
tested to withstand pressure of at
least 70 bar. This also applies to all
fixtures and fittings used.
Longer hoses 2.5 or 4 metres in length
are available as optional extras.
The machine is designed to operate
with a water flow pressure of 100 kPa
minimum up to 1000 kPa maximum.
The static water pressure must not ex-
ceed 1000 kPa. If it is higher than
1000 kPa bar it is essential to fit a re-
ducer valve.
There is a minimum flow pressure of
100 kPa pressure if 5 litres of water flow
into a suitable container in 15 seconds.
The two dirt filters - one in the open
end of the inlet hose, one at the inlet
point in the solenoid valve must not
be removed.
This appliance incorporates
backflow protection complying with
AS/NZS 3500.1.2.
No further backflow protection re-
quired for connection to the water
supply.
