Correcting minor faults

. . . The contents in the pan are not
properly cooked or have not started
to cook?

Check whether:

You are using a pan with a heat re-
taining bottom surface.

The heat from the bottem of the pan will
transfer slowly to the food.

You are using too large a pan.

In both of the above cases, choose a
higher heat-up level or bring to the boil
at setting 12 and then turn down.

. . . The indicator light in the hob dis-
play is flashing?

The "pan recognition" feature is not
operating.

Check whether:

You are using a non-metallic pan. 
If so switch off the "pan recognition".

There was a delay in placing the pan
on the cooking zone after it was
switched on. In this case it is necess-
ary to turn the cooking zone control
back to "0" before the hob can be
brought into use again.
