Self Cleaning the oven interior
Instead of cleaning the oven by hand
you can use the Self Clean program .
During self cleaning the oven interior is
heated up to over 750°F (400°C). Any
residual soiling is broken down and
reduced to ash by the high
temperatures.
This oven has three levels for self
cleaning, each with a different duration:
– Level 1 for light soiling,
– Level 2 for heavier soiling,
– Level 3 for very heavy soiling.
Once the Self Clean program has been
started, the door will automatically
locked. The door cannot be opened
again until the program has ended.
If desired, the timer can be used to
delay the start of the Self Clean
program.
At the end of the program any residues,
such as ash from the cleaning process,
can be easily wiped away.
Preparing for the Self Clean program
Non-pyrolytic accessories will be
damaged by Self Clean.
Remove all non-pyrolytic accessories
from the oven before starting a Self
Clean program. This also applies for
optional accessories that are not
suitable for the Self clean program.
The following accessories are suitable
for cleaning with Self Clean and can
remain in the oven during the program:
– Shelf runners
– Wire oven rack HBBR 30-2
– FlexiClips with wire rack
HFCBBR 30-2
Remove all accessories that are not
suitable for the Self Clean program
from the oven.
Slide the wire oven rack into the top
shelf level.
Heavy soiling in the oven can cause
thick smoke to develop and can
result in the Self Clean program
being switched off.
Burnt-on residues can cause lasting
discoloration or dull spots on
enameled surfaces.
Before starting the Self Clean
program, remove coarse soiling from
the oven and scrape any burnt-on
residues off enameled surfaces with a
glass scraper.
