2. Charging and installing the Li-Po battery
Plug the USB connector of the charging cable to a USB port on your computer or USB charger
(not included), and the other end directly to the battery micro USB port. The charge indicator
LED is turned off during the charging process. It takes about 80 minutes for the lithium battery to be
fully charged. The red LED indicator light on the cable turns ON when the battery is charged.
Install the fully charged battery into the compartment provided for this purpose under the drone.
REPLACING THE PROPELLERS - INSTALLING THE PROTECTIONS
If a propeller replacement is necessary pay special attention to the direction of rotation.
The propellers that rotate clockwise are marked with a letter A. Those that rotate in the anti-
clockwise direction are marked with a letter B. See below the placement on each A and B
propeller on the drone. To replace a propeller, take out the protective cap on the center of the
propeller and unscrew it. Then place the new propeller and screw it before placing back the
protective cap.
The propeller protections are very easy to install, simply plug it at the end of each arm of the
drone in the slot for this purpose. You will hear a «clic» when the protection is well in place.
NOTE: The installation of accessories increases the weight of the drone and can affect the flight time.
BEFORE FLYING
Settle in a space without obstacles with a clearance of about ten meters around you and five
meters in height at least. Ensure that the battery of the drone and batteries from remote control
are fully charged.
PREPARATION FOR TAKE OFF
Slide the battery in the battery compartment under the drone and
press the ON/OFF button
located on top of the drone for about 2 seconds to switch it on. The drone LED lights flash rapidly.
Then place the drone to the ground or on a flat surface and turn on the remote control.
Before each flight you must establish the link between the drone and remote control
by
performing this operation: Push the left joystick fully upward, you hear a short «beep» and then
pull it to the bottom, you hear a longer «beep». The LED lights under the drone are now fixed,
it means that the drone is ready for take-off.
Calibrating the gyroscope
When the link is established between the drone and the
remote controller, this is important to calibrate the gyroscope
before starting the motors, to ensure a better flight stability
of the drone.
Place the drone on a flat surface and press the 2 levers
to the center with an angle of 45 degrees, as shown on
the image on the left.
The calibration is performed after few seconds when the
LED of the drone are flashing quickly.
