NFRARED REMOTE CONTROL
By default, the C-DSP 8x12 is programmed to accept control codes from the
miniDSP infrared remote
. It can also
learn codes from any other remote that supports one of the following remote control codes:
•
NEC
•
Sony
•
Philips RC6
The infrared receiver is located in the wired remote module.
To initiate the learning process, drop down the IR Remote menu and select
IR learning
. Click on the
Learn
button for an operation, and then press the desired button on the remote control. If the code is accepted, the
status will change to show a tick.
This screenshot shows the IR learning screen:
To "unlearn" a command, press the
Learn
button and wait for the plugin to time out.
The C-DSP 8x12 can also respond to the
silver
Apple Remote. (It will
not work with the n
ewer Siri Remote.) To do so, “unlearn” all remote
commands by pressing the
Learn
button for each and waiting for the
plugin to time out. When done, all checkmarks will be removed and
the C-DSP will respond to the Apple Remote as shown in the diagram
at right.
(The commands
Config Inc
and
Config Dec
change the selected
configuration preset up or down. For example, if the currently selected
preset is
1
, pressing
Config Inc
changes it to
2
. Note that switching
between presets takes several seconds.)
